Post-partum hair loss hit me hard. Now, I’ve never been particularly vain about my hair. It’s pretty average hair- fine, decent thickness, reasonably pretty color. It can hold a curl in a pinch, but I’ve never mastered much more than a ponytail style-wise. But to have large (and I do mean large) chunks of it fall out with each shower, brush, and toss of the head for the past 8 months has been a shock to the system. My hairline took a particular beating, and whenever I would try to pull my hair back in a ponytail, it would look like I had tiny baby bangs in the corners where my hair used to be. Not a great look. And considering I have a baby who loves to grab any and all hair she can get her tiny (but strong) hands on, I was pulling it back regularly.
So I called my dear friend, Danielle, for some help. She, being amazing, agreed to come on over for a night of dinner and haircuts.
First, she cut Gram’s hair for her.

Then she tackled my locks.

At first we had discussed just added bangs, but after months of struggling with my hair, the idea of chopping it all off was very appealing . . . .

And I haven’t regretted it for an instant! The new cut is easy to care for. I have managed to blow dry it after each shower! Five minutes! And it looks great, if I do say so myself. . .

Ten inches gone and donated. Love, love, love it! Thank you Danielle!
